Terms &
- Intending buyers must register for a bidding number prior to the Auction and two forms of identification are required, one being photo graphic.
- A €300 deposit is required which is refunded in the event of non purchase upon production of the receipt at the registration office.
- Bids at Auction will only be taken from bidders who have registered and obtained an official bidding number.
- On purchasing a vehicle at auction the buyer will be required to pay an indemnity fee of €165 plus vat in addition the buyer shall pay a commission of 5% of the purchase price plus vat.
- In the event of a buyer, having purchased a vehicle at auction then deciding not to conclude the sale, the relevant deposit previously paid shall be forfeited by the buyer. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
- While every effort has been made to produce an accurate catalogue, buyers are advised to check the vehicle before bidding on it.
- All vehicles are sold “as seen” and mileage is not warranted or checked unless otherwise specified.
- Commercial vehicles sold declaring a vat invoice will not be paid for until said invoice is presented to the Auctioneer.
- Unregistered imported vehicles will only be released to those with a registered “TAN” number. Alternatively, the vehicle must be registered in the customers name and VRT paid at the point of sale.
- The Auctioneer’s word is final and title will pass on the fall of the hammer.
- The Auctioneer accepts no responsibility for damage caused to vehicles while in their possession.
- Only keys available at the time of sale will be supplied and neither the auctioneer nor the sellers undertake to supply spare/special keys, radio fascias etc.
What to do if your bid has been accepted.
- Proceed to the Registration Office stating the lot number purchased and hand in your bidding card and receipt.
- The sales person will provide you with a purchase order stating the amount due for the car.
- Payment for the car should now be made. No cash or cheques will be accepted. Payment should be in the form of a bank draft, telegraphic transfer or credit card. (There is a fee of 2.5% on all credit card transactions)
- On purchasing a vehicle at auction the buyer will be required to pay an indemnity fee of €165 plus vat in addition the buyer shall pay a commission of 5% of the purchase price plus vat.
- Only on receipt of full payment will you be issued a release docket for the vehicle.
- Any vehicle not collected after 3 working days will be subject to a storage fee of €10 per day (inc. vat) thereafter.
- Only keys available at the time of sale will be supplied and neither the auctioneer nor the sellers undertake to supply spare/special keys, radio fascias etc.
Sellers
- Auction every Thursday at 11 am
- Sellers should ensure that there vehicles are brought to auction by 3pm on the Wednesday before the auction
- Only vehicles with VLC/Log Book will be accepted for sale
- Bring all documents VLC/NCT service history and spare keys if available.
- Payment for sold vehicles will be made by cheque in 5 working days.
- Cheques will be posted to your contact address on the auction entry form.
- Two forms of ID are required when selling your vehicle at tvd Car Auction.

- The onus is on the vendor to declare any faults and defects with the vehicle.
- Vendors are liable for commission on wrongly described vehicles.
- The auctioneer accepts no responsibility for damage caused to vehicles while in their possession.
